VIDAS EN LA FRONTERA nace para enseñar la labor hecha a lo largo de estos últimos años en tema de Acción Social Participativa. En modo particular, esta página nace a raíz del proyecto llevado a cabo en la ciudad de Melilla a lo largo del 2010-2011. El proyecto cuyo título es Reconstruir la vida en la Frontera quiere, a través del arte y los medios de comunicación, mejorar la calidad de vida de los migrantes que viven en el Centro de Estancia Temporal de la ciudad y al mismo tiempo queremos sensibilizar y criticar sobre la situación actual en la frontera de Europa. El grupo de trabajo está formado por un grupo nutrido de profesionales, tanto profesores, investigadores de la Universidad de Granada, cuanto psicologos y artistas.
En la página se recogen la mayoría de los trabajos llevados a cabo por los distintos miembros del grupo en el mismo ámbito y en distintos lugares de Europa.
El proyecto en Melilla está financiado por el Centro de Iniciativas de Cooperación al Desarrollo (CICODE) de la Universidad de Granada. Contamos con la colaboración de la ONG Melilla Acoge.
VIDAS EN LA FRONTERA collects the works done during the last years by our team. Our research is based on the migration, identity and frontiers studies and we use practical tools as Participatory Action Research because we believe it is important the participation of the actors in the development of our research.
The project Rebuild the life in the Frontier is formed by University professors and researchers and by experts of Arts and social sciences. The project is funded by the CICODE (Centro de Iniciativas de Cooperación al Desarrollo) of the University of Granada, a Centre for research and funding of projects related with social exclusion and International cooperation. The project is also based on the collaboration with local NGO’s, especially Melilla Acoge. The project is made for the migrants that lives in the CETI, a special Camp created to control migration coming from Africa to Melilla, a door to Europe. Totally at least one hundred migrants participated in the diverse activities made during the first year of the project. Principally to reach a better quality of life of the migrants through a social action that considers Arts and Media. The diverse courses of photography, participatory video, Blog, Radio communication, Painting and Theatre tries to give to the participants the instruments to let them participate in the life of the city, making it possible for them to build a life out of the segregation of the Camp where they have to stay while they are waiting for their “ticket” to Europe.
